ASD Club Milano are a very new entity. Forming in 2017 and focussing on 'young athletes' as one if its core principles, they have collaboration with AC Milan and had at time of visiting, risen to Serie D, considered the highest level of semi progressional football in Italy . They play at Satdio Communale on the outskirts of Milan.
Getting there - Club Milano is on the Milan subway red line in the north west of the city. Head for Pero and its then a 10 min walk to the 'stadium' which appeared to be more of a 'David Lloyd' type affair with gyms and domed tennis courts. If you google Club Milano, make sure you add the 'calcio,' otherwise you'll get nightclubs in various parts of the world. Map link below if you need it.
Getting in - You can get tickets online but for this we were sure the demand wouldnt exceed supply and could pay on the gate which was more portacabin. 12 euro's.
Whats its like - Its a 3G / 4G surface , fenced in with one main stand running the length of one side probably capable of several hundred spectators. For this game, parents, wives , girlfriends, younger age group teams , five Club Milano Ultras, 10 ground hoppers (According to Futbology) combined to swell the attendance to about 100-150. Most of the action came in the first half with 5 goals and the away team, Virtus Ciserano, taking a 3-2 into the break. The second half Club Milano didnt really threaten and missed a penalty leaving the score untouched as the sun set and the temperature dropped. An entertaining way to end the sporting activity for the weekend and the clubhouse / pizzeria on site catered for some Sunday afternoon beers in the sun. Worth it if there is nothing else on offer to go and watch, which there wasnt.
