Guide to stadiums, how to get there and how to get in.

Thinking about weekend football touring with your mates? You're in the right place if you are choosing Italy and Serie A or lower for a 'Fine Settimana'(weekend) watching football.  This is basically a record of our trips and if useful for you and / or wets your appetite for 3 or 4 days  in Italy, great!

We started in Florence in early 2020, with Fiorentina v Atalanta, followed by a trip to the  city of  Ferrara, home of SPAL, to take in their Seria A game versus Sassuolo.  Since then we have  carried on a couple of times a year visiting different stadiums and cities.  Serie A, Serie B and Serie C all covered. As of the beginning of the 2025-26 season we are at 22 grounds visited across the leagues.

Flights to Italy from the UK (and elsewhere ) are easily found so  no education required there.  The train system in Italy is very good from our experience, and being based for the weekend  in either Milan or Bologna,  with its  excellent transport links,  allows for at least 2 games in a weekend, sometimes 3, and on a couple of visits,  4.
